A Family Legacy Rooted in Innovation

Since 1945, W. McCulloch & Son has been a family-run business built on passion and ingenuity. It all started when William (Bill) McCulloch and his son, Ron McCulloch Sr., teamed up to create the first track-mounted auto rice harvester in Australia, a true testament to their pioneering spirit.

In 1956, the McCulloch family set roots in Bendigo and launched the "Golden" brand, crafting over 545 Golden Land Graders and 240 Golden Scoops for the agricultural industry. As the business grew, so did the family. Ron Sr. took the helm in 1965, joined by sons Ron Jr. in 1967 and Ken in 1971. Recognizing the need for hydraulic expertise, they diversified the company's focus, laying the foundation for our current offerings.

By 1972, we had our own seven-acre home at 207 Midland Highway, Epsom, complete with a dedicated factory. Over the years, the workshop and sales office have seen numerous expansions to accommodate our thriving business. The story continues with Ken's sons, Jeff (1996), Steve (1998), and Rod (2015), carrying the torch into the fourth generation. In 2019, we expanded further, acquiring the neighbouring site at 205 Midland Highway.
